Supervises or operates ground surveillance systems.

The intelligence senior sergeant supervises intelligence surveillance, collection, analysis, processing, and distribution activities at group, division, corps, Army and comparable or higher echelons; supervises activities pertaining to organization and training of tactical and technical operations; supervises intelligence, operations and training; coordinates operating requirements of subordinate units with major supported units; supervises intelligence operations in Corps and echelon above corps analysis and control elements; provides advice and makes recommendations to the commander and staff on all matters pertaining to enlisted soldiers and their families; accompanies the commander on inspections, visits and ceremonies; assists in inspection of command activities, facilities and personnel as prescribed by the commander; ensures adherence to command policies; holds First Sergeants' or Sergeants' Major call to announce information and instruction; ensures that newly assigned enlisted personnel are instructed in military courtesy, customs of the service and command regulations or policies; responsible for monitoring training or conducts training of enlisted soldiers; assesses training at all levels and provides feedback to appropriate commanders and leaders; provides counsel and guidance to NCOs and other enlisted soldiers of the command; responsible for and provides guidance on Non-Commissioned Officer Education System (NCOES) and Non-Commissioned Officer Development Program (NCODP); inspects duties performed by subordinate NCOs; notes discrepancies and initiates appropriate corrective action; assists in reception of visitors to the command; serves as president or member of command promotion board or removal board for NCOs, as authorized by regulations; sits as chairperson or member of a command's Military Member of the Quarter/Year competition for enlisted soldiers or NCOs, as directed by local regulations; responsible for quality, control and training of noncommissioned officer evaluation reports (NCOER) while ensuring timely submissions; reviews evaluation reports to determine compliance with policies and procedures and recommends corrective actions on deficiencies to commanders, other leaders and rating officials; performs other duties prescribed by the commander; assists in the professional development of junior and company grade officer.

Operates and performs operator maintenance on ground surveillance systems, organic communications equipment, light wheeled vehicles and power sources; assist in emplacement, camouflage and recovery of ground surveillance systems and associated equipment; detects, locates and reports target data by interpreting ground surveillance system information; provide guidance to subordinate soldiers; provide tactical and technical guidance in team area of operations; assist in planning surveillance missions using maps, aerial photographs, terrain studies and intelligence reports; prepare overlays and surveillance cards; supervise emplacement operations and maintenance of ground surveillance systems and associated equipment; provides tactical and technical guidance in squad area of operations; integrate other unit collection assets with ground surveillance systems recommend methods of employment; select potential emplacement sites using maps, aerial photographs, terrain studies and intelligence reports; notify supported command of team locations; maintains operational records.

Performs duties shown in preceding skill level and provides guidance to subordinate soldiers; provides tactical and technical guidance in platoon area of operations; plans, recommends and determines employment and operational techniques; supervises requisition of replacement parts; applies intelligence collection and surveillance planning process to operations; conducts intelligence surveillance and collection training; provides tactical and technical guidance in company area of operations; plans and coordinates employment of ground surveillance systems; assists in preparation and implementation of reconnaissance and surveillance operations plans; plans, coordinates, supervises and participates in activities pertaining to organization, training and combat operations.
