They supervise the establishment, operation and maintenance of the radar platoon and target processing section. They formulate, coordinate and supervise the execution of survey plans essential to the proper employment of field artillery. They direct and perform survey reconnaissance. They supervise the establishment, operation and maintenance of meteorological stations, direct atmospheric meteorological observation, and interpret, evaluate, and distribute atmospheric data.
