Must be able to perform the duties of Interrogator, 96C30; serves as principal NCO in combined team or interrogation section; supervises interrogation activities and instructs subordinate personnel in proper work techniques; plans and organizes work schedules and details interrogators to specific tasks in accordance with their abilities; instructs interrogators in techniques of interrogation, including preparation, conduct, and reports of examination; establishes and keeps file of language reference materials; must be able to perform the duties of Interrogator, 96C30 or 96C40; serves as principal operations NCO in strategic intelligence interrogation center at theater Army or higher headquarters; assists command and staff officers in intelligence operations and training situations for strategic intelligence interrogation activities; collects, prepares, and distributes material and data on intelligence, operations, and training; supervises and inspects duties performed by subordinate noncommissioned officers; serves as First Sergeant of a company; interprets and supervises execution of company policy and SOP; assists in planning, coordinating, and supervising all activities that support the company mission; advises company commander on all matters concerning enlisted personnel, to include assignments, reassignments, transfers, promotions, granting of passes and leave, punishments, welfare, privileges, and awards; directs and coordinates company administration; forms unit for drill, ceremonies, and other military formations; receives report of personnel present and absent, and reports number of unauthorized absences; holds NCO call to disseminate instructions and information to subordinate enlisted supervisors; coordinates operation of company food service and supply activities; assists company commander in accomplishing unit training; assists in inspection of organizational activities as prescribed by commander, observes discrepancies, and initiates appropriate corrective action.

Translates foreign language into English and English into foreign language; prepares translations of written foreign language material into English and written English into foreign language; translates foreign documents such as combat orders, administrative directives, messages, personnel records, and reports; prepares summary of translated foreign documents; translates foreign technical publications to provide essential features or general information concerning construction, operation, maintenance, employment, and characteristics of military equipment such as weapons, vehicles, and communication devices; analyzes enemy documents for exploitation; translates into foreign language, announcements, speeches, radio scripts, publications, and other materials for use in non-English speaking countries; establishes file of translation and language reference materials such as dictionaries, glossaries of military terms, and manuals; edits translations for correctness of grammatical construction, sentence structure, phraseology, punctuation, idiom, and clarity of expression; reviews completed translations for accuracy and completeness; coordinates translating activities; instructs and advises translators; must be able to perform the duties of Translator Interpreter, 04B2L; interprets oral statements into either English or a foreign language; mentally translates and orally expresses statements in English or in a foreign language, using phraseology selected to preserve original intent, meaning, and emphasis; interprets into either English or a foreign language statements made by participants in legal proceedings, conferences, work parties, public relations interviews, and radio and loudspeaker broadcasts.
