Supervises or serves as a member of a SGT YORK Air Defense Gun System Crew.

Supervises SGT YORK Air Defense Gun section or platoon; serves as Sr. Squad Leader; performs duties shown in preceding skill levels and provides technical guidance to lower grade personnel; assists the platoon leader in planning, organizing, directing, supervising, training, coordinating, and reporting activities of subordinate squads; assists in the tactical emplacement of the Fire Units and in the conduct of reconnaissance, selection, and occupation of position (RSOP); must be able to perform the duties of MOSC 16T50 or the skill level 4 of other MOS in CMF 16; supervises operations or intelligence functions in air defense artillery battalion or higher level unit; serves as principal NCO of air defense artillery battery or as detachment sergeant of artillery warhead support detachment; assists in appraisal of air defense artillery (ADA) operations, training, and intelligence situations; assists in establishment and operation of Army Air Defense Command Post (AADCP) and employment of ADA in surface role; applies knowledge of capabilities and limitations of ADA weapons, command and control systems, and radar systems; supervises activities in AADCP to include tests of communications facilities and preparation of operations board, tactical action board, early warning board, status board, situation map, journals, and logs; collects, interprets, evaluates, and disseminates intelligence information and data; prepares and edits ADA operations, training, intelligence, and equipment status material; conducts and evaluates AADCP crew training; supervises and assists in designing ADA defenses; assists in preparation for, coordinates, and supervises emplacement and march order operations; interprets and supervises execution of battery policy and SOP; assists in planning coordinating, and supervising all activities that support the battery mission; performs principal noncommissioned officer duties associated with SQI M.

Participates in SGT YORK Air Defense Self Propelled (SP) Gun operation; supplies ammunition load; drives SP Gun; participates in squad drill, march order and emplacement of materiel and equipment; applies knowledge of friendly and enemy aircraft for recognition purposes; operates Target Alert Data Display (TADDS) and other fire control devices; operates night vision devices; assists in bore sighting procedures; operates field telephones, manual switchboards and secure voice radios in sending and receiving firing information and other instructions; drives track and wheel vehicles utilized to transport ammunition; loads and unloads vehicles; obtains ammunition from supply points and delivers to firing units; visually checks ammunition for serviceability and identification during movement and temporary storage; operates power generation equipment, armored personnel carriers and other track and wheel vehicles authorized; performs operator maintenance on unit equipment and assists authorized personnel in performance of organizational level maintenance; prepares operation and equipment performance records; employs principle of cover concealment and camouflage; constructs fortification, bunkers, and crew served weapons emplacements; fires individual and crew served weapons in defense of position and unit on road march; protects self, weapons and equipment from chemical and other contaminates; administers first aid; applies field sanitation methods; performs outpost and security guard duties; identifies personnel using password and countersign; participates in SGT YORK Air Defense SP Gun operation; supervises ammunition operation; performs duties shown in preceding level of skill and provides technical guidance to lower grade personnel; performs bore sighting of guns and fire control equipment; performs initial fault location using built-in test equipment; observes, tracks and interprets targets or other objects using gun sight, radar and display system (TADDS); prepares and fires SGT YORK Air Defense Gun; recognizes various types of electronic countermeasures and employs countermeasures; tracks through nominal amount of interference, such as jamming signals and fixed echoes; exercises safety in working with high voltage, RF and laser energies; supervises requisition, receipt, storage, identification, transportation and distribution of ammunition; reads topographic maps and locates points by means of coordinates on grid sheet or map; supervises SGT YORK Air Defense Gun squad; performs duties shown in preceding skill levels and provides technical guidance to lower grade personnel; supervises the tactical operation of SGT YORK Air Defense Gun system; makes decision on employment of Identification Friend or Foe; uses squad leaders sighting devices and fire control display to make final engagement and firing decisions based on threat and firing doctrines; supervises squad drill, march order, and emplacement of materiel; supervises preparation of weapons for firing and loading; supervises operator maintenance of SGT YORK Air Defense Gun and related equipment; supervises preparation of operational and equipment performance records.
