Illustrates, drafts and lays out illustrations for posters, graphs, charts, tests, and training aids.

Supervises personnel performing duties of photographic laboratory supervisor (84B30) or Illustrator (81E30); performs the principal NCO duties associated with first sergeant SQI M; supervises, coordinates and technically assists in the operation of audio-visual activities; assists command and staff officers in continuous appraisal of audio-visual operations and training situations; makes notes of observed discrepancies and initiates appropriate corrective action; assists in planning, utilization, operation, and maintenance support of audio-visual and broadcasting operations; administration and management; determines requirements, assigns duties, and coordinates activities of audio-visual personnel; determines team assignments and structure of teams, based on mission requirements; recommends changes in location, quantities, or types of audio-visual personnel according to military needs; exercises administrative control, and performs liaison between staff, maintenance, and operating personnel to improve effectiveness of audio-visual operation; prepares administrative and technical reports relative to audio-visual and broad casting operations.

Serves as illustrator; provides technical guidance to lower graded personnel.
