Supervise, analyze, process and disseminate strategic and tactical intelligence.
Performs duties shown in preceding skill level and provides guidance to subordinate soldiers; assemble enemy intelligence information and material; coordinate flow of intelligence information between intelligence disciplines and supervises the all source production process; supervise intelligence operations within combat brigades; conduct general intelligence training; supervise collection management in an Analysis Control Element; trains immediate subordinates in specific phases of intelligence operations; assists in appraisal of intelligence, operations, and training procedures; coordinates operating requirements of subordinate units; supervises intelligence operations in a division ACE.
The intelligence senior sergeant supervises intelligence surveillance, collection, analysis, processing and distribution activities at group, division, corps, Army and comparable or higher echelons; supervises activities pertaining to organization and training of tactical and technical operations; supervises intelligence, operations and training; coordinates operating requirements of subordinate units with major supported units; supervises intelligence operations in Corps and echelon above corps analysis and control elements; provides advice and makes recommendations to the commander and staff on all matters pertaining to enlisted soldiers and their families; accompanies the commander on inspections, visits and ceremonies; assists in inspection of command activities, facilities and personnel as prescribed by the commander; ensures adherence to command policies; holds First Sergeants' or Sergeants' Major call to announce information and instruction; ensures that newly assigned enlisted personnel are instructed in military courtesy, customs of the service and command regulations or policies; responsible for monitoring training or conducts training of enlisted soldiers; assesses training at all levels and provides feedback to appropriate commanders and leaders; provides counsel and guidance to NCOs and other enlisted soldiers of the command; responsible for and provides guidance on Non-Commissioned Officer Education System (NCOES) and Non-Commissioned Officer Development Program (NCODP); inspects duties performed by subordinate NCOs; notes discrepancies and initiates appropriate corrective action; assists in reception of visitors to the command; serves as president or member of command promotion board or removal board for NCOs, as authorized by regulations; sits as chairperson or member of a command's Military Member of the Quarter/Year competition for enlisted soldiers or NCOs, as directed by local regulations; responsible for quality, control and training of noncommissioned officer evaluation reports (NCOER) while ensuring timely submissions; reviews evaluation reports to determine compliance with policies and procedures and recommends corrective actions on deficiencies to commanders, other leaders and rating officials; performs other duties prescribed by the commander; assists in the professional development of junior and company grade officer.
Prepare all source intelligence products to support the combat commander; assists in establishing and maintaining systematic; cross-referenced intelligence records and files; receive and process incoming reports and messages; assist in determining significance and reliability of incoming information; assist in integrating incoming information with current intelligence holdings; prepare and maintain situation maps; assist in the analysis and evaluation of intelligence holdings to determine changes in enemy capabilities, vulnerabilities and probable courses of action; assist in the preparation of Order of Battle records using information from all sources and in the preparation of strength estimates of enemy units; assemble and proofread intelligence reports and assists in consolidating them into military intelligence; prepare Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield products; provide guidance to subordinate soldiers; analyze current intelligence holdings to identify gaps, and subsequent intelligence collection requirements; consider enemy Order of Battle records in the development of collection tasks and assessment of enemy vulnerabilities and probable courses of action; draft periodic and special intelligence reports, plans, and briefings; supervise the receipt, analysis, dissemination, and storage of intelligence information; assist in the preparation of indicators to satisfy priority intelligence requirements; provide indicators and current situation briefings to subordinates; receive, produce and disseminate intelligence reports containing information obtained from all sources; assist in preparing and conducting command intelligence training programs; supervise intelligence operations within a combat battalion.
