Supervises and conducts, CI surveys and investigations.
The intelligence senior sergeant supervises intelligence surveillance, collection, analysis, processing, and distribution activities at group, division, corps, Army and comparable or higher echelons; supervises activities pertaining to organization and training of tactical and technical operations; supervises intelligence, operations and training; coordinates operating requirements of subordinate units with major supported units; supervises intelligence operations in Corps and echelon above corps analysis and control elements; provides advice and makes recommendations to the commander and staff on all matters pertaining to enlisted soldiers and their families; accompanies the commander on inspections, visits and ceremonies; assists in inspection of command activities, facilities and personnel as prescribed by the commander; ensures adherence to command policies; holds First Sergeants' or Sergeants' Major call to announce information and instruction; ensures that newly assigned enlisted personnel are instructed in military courtesy, customs of the service and command regulations or policies; responsible for monitoring training or conducts training of enlisted soldiers; assesses training at all levels and provides feedback to appropriate commanders and leaders; provides counsel and guidance to NCOs and other enlisted soldiers of the command; responsible for and provides guidance on Non-Commissioned Officer Education System (NCOES) and Non-Commissioned Officer Development Program (NCODP); inspects duties performed by subordinate NCOs; notes discrepancies and initiates appropriate corrective action; assists in reception of visitors to the command; serves as president or member of command promotion board or removal board for NCOs, as authorized by regulations; sits as chairperson or member of a command's Military Member of the Quarter/Year competition for enlisted soldiers or NCOs, as directed by local regulations; responsible for quality, control and training of noncommissioned officer evaluation reports (NCOER) while ensuring timely submissions; reviews evaluation reports to determine compliance with policies and procedures and recommends corrective actions on deficiencies to commanders, other leaders and rating officials; performs other duties prescribed by the commander; assists in the professional development of junior and company grade officer.
Performs duties shown in preceding skill level and provides guidance to subordinate soldiers; supervise and direct preparation of CI services and reports; supervise CFSO; perform operation and case control reviews; supervise and direct investigations and special operations; plan and supervises CI operations; reviews CI related reports and plans; plans, coordinates, and supervises intelligence operations and training.
Assists in security investigations; provide CI services and support to force protection operations at all echelons; perform CI support to counterterrorism operations; prepare and operate recording and photographic equipment; process CI evidence and evaluates sources of information; prepare and disseminate CI reports; assist in non-technical surveillance; collect and compile open source material; conduct liaison with US agencies and foreign agencies; maintain CI files and data bases; conduct sabotage, espionage, treason and sedition investigations; plan and conduct CI investigations; apply fundamentals of military and civil law; detects, neutralizes and exploits CI targets; participate in counterintelligence force protection source operations (CFSO); conduct overt collection, surveillance and non-technical operations; provide counter human intelligence support for multidiscipline counterintelligence products; prepares CI reports and estimates; plan and conduct CI operations, to include: analyzing, selecting, exploiting and neutralizing CI targets; plan and direct CI services and support; plan and direct counterespionage operations and investigations; manage intelligence contingency funds; plan and conduct CFSO operations.
