Performs maintenance of interior electrical systems and equipment.

Installs and maintains interior electrical systems up to 600 volts; reads and interprets drawings, plans, and specifications; installs service panels, switches and electrical boxes; installs metallic and nonmetallic sheathed cable, conduit and special electrical equipment; installs service drop; uses test equipment to test operational condition of circuits; assists in performance of combat engineer missions; supervises installation and maintenance of interior electrical systems; plans electrical system layout using drawings, plans, specifications, and wiring diagrams; coordinates construction planning and advises on electrical construction; uses test equipment to isolate malfunctions and repairs defects in systems and components; inspects interior electrical systems/components for proper installation in accordance with National Electrical Code and local ordinances; reads and interprets construction drawings; estimates material, time, equipment, and labor requirements; supervises the construction and repair of wood frame, concrete, masonry or prefabricated structures; supervises the installation and repair of utility systems; inspects structures and facilities to ensure compliance with specifications; directs operator maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment; directs combat engineering missions.

The general engineering supervisor supervises general engineering activities related to all construction and utility operations; assists engineering officer in construction planning, scheduling, and material estimating; assists in the preparation of operation orders, standing operating procedures, and contingency plans; provides staff supervision and principal noncommissioned officer direction to units engaged in performing general engineering missions; inspects construction and training activities; provides advice and makes recommendations to the commander and staff on all matters pertaining to enlisted soldiers and their families; accompanies the commander on inspections, visits and ceremonies; assists in inspection of command activities, facilities and personnel as prescribed by the commander; ensures adherence to command policies; holds first sergeants' or sergeants' major call to announce information and instruction; ensures that newly assigned enlisted personnel are instructed in military courtesy, customs of the service and command regulations or policies; responsible for monitoring training or conducts training of enlisted soldiers; assesses training at all levels and provides feedback to appropriate commanders and leaders; provides counsel and guidance to NCOs and other enlisted soldiers of the command; responsible for and provides guidance on Non-Commissioned Officer Education System (NCOES) and Non-Commissioned Officer Development Program (NCODP); inspects duties performed by subordinate NCOs; notes discrepancies and initiates appropriate corrective action; assists in reception of visitors to the command; serves as president or member of command promotion board or removal board for NCOs, as authorized by regulations; sits as chairperson or member of a command's Military Member of the Quarter/Year competition for enlisted soldiers or NCOs, as directed by local regulations; responsible for quality, control and training of noncommissioned officer evaluation reports (NCOER) while ensuring timely submissions; reviews evaluation reports to determine compliance with policies and procedures and recommends corrective actions on deficiencies to commanders, other leaders and rating officials; performs other duties prescribed by the commander; assists in the professional development of junior and company grade officer.

Devises network flow diagrams such as the critical path method and coordinates work activities of supporting units; provides supervision over all engineer construction equipment operations; develops and executes a quality control plan; plans and organizes for combat engineering missions; the general engineering supervisor supervises general engineering activities related to all construction and utility operations; assists engineering officer in construction planning, scheduling, and material estimating; assists in the preparation of operation orders, standing operating procedures, and contingency plans; provides staff supervision and principal noncommissioned officer direction to units engaged in performing general engineering missions; inspects construction and training activities.
