Officer technical managers, providing meteorological and oceanographic support for fleet operations, planning, and directing various activities within the Naval Oceanography Command; train military and civilian meteorological/oceanography personnel in the use and operational maintenance of meteorological and oceanographic equipment; train and supervise Navy weather observers and forecasters, perform regional coordination for operational and administrative matters within NAVOCEANCOM regional areas of responsibility.
