Education officers serve as systems approach to training (SAT)/instructional systems development (ISO) specialists in billets concerned with education programs, educational research and methodologies, instructional technology, curriculum development and evaluation, and management of instruction. This will be assigned a skill designator MOS only by the CMC (M) to officers who have completed the prescribed course of instruction under the provisions of SEP or the advanced degree program.
The education officer is responsible for overseeing the education programs at a Marine Corps activity.
