Supervises and operates radio direction finding (DF) equipment and uses advanced identification techniques (AIT) systems.
Operates radio DF equipment and employs AIT to recognize, identify, and locate foreign radio transmitters; analyzes information obtained from the use of DF equipment and AIT; supervises EW/ SIGINT emitter identifier/locator employment and activities.
Supervises Morse intercept activities; supervise EW/SIGINT activities and provide technical, operational, and administrative guidance and direction to enlisted personnel; perform duties associated with SQI M when assigned as First Sergeant; review, evaluate, prepare, and execute EW/SIGINT deployment, employment, and redeployment plans and orders; interpret tactical and strategic intelligence requirements for translation into (EW/SIGINT tasking; assist commanders and staff in the appraisal of EW/SIGINT operations and the state of unit readiness; compare modification table of organization and equipment (MTOE) and table distribution and allowances (TDA) authorization documents with EW/SIGINT missions and functions, and recommend revisions; review EW/SIGINT doctrinal publications and prepare recommended changes; determine staff actions necessary to support operational and administrative activities.
