Performs maintenance calibration and support maintenance on radiac instruments, polygraph equipment, and electrical/electronic measuring and test equipment.

Performs maintenance calibration at various values and ranges to detect malfunction or non-function and extend of maintenance required; dismantles components; removes and inspects parts and wiring; cleans equipment; repairs circuit wiring and replaces faulty components; adjust, alines and performs maintenance calibration on repaired equipment to comply with technical manual instructions, repairs equipment standards or manufactures' specifications; performs final test on repaired equipment; tests electrical/electronic equipment to include ammeters, voltmeters, vacuum tube voltmeters, signal generators, tube and transistor testers, general purpose oscilloscopes, frequency meters and counters; interprets schematic and wiring diagrams; employs common and specialized hand tools, measuring instruments and testing devices; computers voltage, amperage and resistance factors; test troubleshoots, repairs, maintains and adjusts radiac instruments to specified tolerances; must be able to perform the duties of Electronic Instrument Repairman (35B2O); performs detailed testing and repaired advance electronic test equipment; interprets schematic diagrams of complete specialized and advanced types or equipment to include pulse oscilloscopes, digital frequency counters, precisions frequency meter panoramic indicators, spectrum analyze microwave/radar test equipment somatic bridges, differential and digital voltmeter; diagnoses malfunctions; employs testing equipment for final testing.

Supervises the performance of direct support, general support and depot level maintenance, calibration, and installation of communications-electronic equipment; advises maintenance officer or unit commander on maintenance activities; assists command and staff in continuous appraisal of communications-electronic equipment maintenance, calibration, and installation, operations, and training; provides guidance to subordinate personnel; applies policies and procedures for facility/unit/station management; supervises the duties performed by subordinate personnel engaged in installation/maintenance; determines effectiveness of performance to meet workload demands; provides advice and makes, recommendations to the commander aid staff on all matters pertain to enlisted personnel and their families; accompanies the commander on inspections and visits and at ceremonies; assists in inspection of command activities facilities aid personnel as prescribed by the commander; holds First Sergeants' or Sergeants' Major call to announce information and instructions; insures that newly assigned enlisted personnel are instructed in military courtesy, customs, of the service, and command regulations or policies; provides counsel and guidance to NCOs and other enlisted personnel of the command; inspects duties performed by subordinate NCOs; notes discrepancies and initiates appropriate corrective action; assists in reception of visitors to the command; sits as president or, member of command promotion board for NCOs, as authorized by regulations; performs other duties prescribed by, the commander.

Must be able to perform duties or Electronic Instrument Repairman (35B3O); supervises repair and maintenance calibration of electronic test equipment; assigns personnel to specific duties; instructs subordinates in support maintenance procedures, practices and techniques; plans schedules repair, maintenance calibration and certification of equipment; keeps equipment records; requisitions and keeps authorized stock of parts and supplies; establishes files of technical literature; reviews and takes appropriate action on all technical formation and directives; prepares administrative and technical reports unit functions; adheres to depot maintenance procedures; supervises overall repair and salvage of equipment; diagnoses unusual cases of malfunction/nonfunction; performs maintenance calibration and tests of repaired, rebuilt test equipment to ensure equipment prescribed accuracy standards; organizes fixed or mobile maintenance units mission accomplishment; supervises the performance of direct support, general support and depot level maintenance, calibration, and installation of communications-electronic equipment; advises maintenance officer or unit commander on maintenance activities; assists command and staff in continuous appraisal of communications- electronic equipment maintenance, calibration, and installation, operations, and training; provides guidance to subordinate personnel; applies policies and procedures for facility/unit/station management; supervises the duties performed by subordinate personnel engaged in installation/maintenance; determines effectiveness of performance to meet workload demands.
