Combat Arms personnel are United States Air Force (USAF) personnel who train other Air Force personnel on the use of arms and on hand-to-hand combat techniques. The Air Force branch of the military is focused on flying, and as such, often standard weapons and arms training is not emphasized. However, all military personnel must be able to defend themselves and their country,
primary role of the G7 level Specialists is to train base personnel in the use of small firearms that allow for self-defense in the event the base is invaded. Specialists train others in the correct use of the weapons, such as shooting technique, as well as perform light maintenance to damaged or malfunctioning weapons. G9 Specialists oversee G7s as well as manage ammo budgets and supplies.
