Performs maintenance on EW/I fixed wing and heliborne aviation systems, equipment.
Supervise planning for and layout of EW/I maintenance shops and facilities; supervise the application of production and quality control, quality assurance and principles to support maintenance operations; supervise repair parts supply operations; analyze maintenance resources and commitments; determine priorities and set objectives; determine overall training requirements, develop training plans and assign training responsibilities; develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Basic Emergency Plans (BEP); monitor compliance with existing regulations, SOPs and unit policies; perform first sergeant duties associated with SQI M; prepare and maintain administrative library and files; maintain liaison between staff command and site, and unit personnel; prepare technical studies, evaluations, special reports, correspondence, and records pertaining to maintenance operations; review and submit changes to applicable TDA's/TOE's to support maintenance operations; provides advice and makes recommendations to the commander and staff on all matters pertaining to enlisted personnel and their families; accompanies the commander on inspections and visits and at ceremonies; assists in inspection of command activities facilities and personnel as prescribed by the commander; holds first sergeants' or sergeants' major call to announce information and instructions; insures that newly assigned enlisted personnel are instructed in military courtesy, customs of the service, and command regulations or policies; provides counsel and guidance to NCOs and other enlisted personnel of the command; inspects duties performed by subordinate NCOs; notes discrepancies and initiates appropriate corrective action; assists in reception of visitors to the command; sits as president or member of command promotion board for NCOs, as authorized by regulations; performs other duties prescribed by the commander.

Performs maintenance on EW/I aviation equipment including; high, very high, ultra high and microwave frequency receivers; narrow band recorder-reproducers; tactical antennas, antenna control units and radio frequency switches; modulators and demodulators, multiplexers and demultiplexers; signal monitors and other display equipment; direction finding and electronic countermeasures equipment; performs unit, intermediate and depot maintenance on EW/I aviation systems and equipment including; intercept systems; direction finding systems; electronic countermeasures systems; computer peripheral devices.
